About The Designer

Throughout the three years of my degree I researched a range of subject areas to use as my inspiration for each project, varying from architecture to astronomy and to cultural symbols before discovering that what truly inspires me is dance, movement and the relationships between human bodies. I enjoy seeing the connection between people in terms of their physical outlines and particularly developing designs from the negative of their silhouettes. I especially favour exploring the human body as I am intrigued by the fact that usually the body is affected by jewellery when the wearer draws upon it for adornment, however, by using this area as my muse, the jewellery does not only influence the body but is also inspired by it.

I design and make jewellery that is of a more curvaceous nature, interspersed with precious gemstones, as I find flowing, elegant lines much more appealing than bold and geometric forms and feel that this works well against the simplicity in the appearance of scattered gemstones in mirroring my chosen themes. I use a range of skills including wax carving and hand forming to create all of my pieces.

I am happy to discuss any commissions, so please feel free to contact me via the details on the contact page.
